Each year on Bookcrossing, we have an Ornament Exchange at Christmastime. It's a fun way to kick-start our festive season. I sent away some lovely little ornaments from my local area (only because the bigger ones looked horrible, plastic and dreadfully-made) along with some Chuppa-Chups.
Today, I received my Ornament Exchange from a fellow Bookcrosser - heartthumper - who lives in a very isolated area of America. However, she's a lovely person.
As the years go by, I'm replacing my old ornaments with the ones I receive from the Ornament Exchange... in about two years, I'll need a new - bigger - tree to keep going.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@digitalrn Everyone loves doing it. Last year, we had one of participants pass away and so I received the ornament that was supposed to go to her instead. It was a very touching and lovely one of a little red cushions with a dove cross-stitched into it... very pretty and just right for Christmas.
