On Friday, it was Gabe's birthday. So, last night we all went out to a Thai restaurant in Chinatown in Fortitude Valley here in Brisbane. The food was great, but the service was dreadful; where three of us were left waiting for an hour for our food and we had to go chasing it up to find out where it was.
But no birthday is complete without presents and cake? Right? Well, I bought Gabe a bottle opener in the shape of a guitar; which was also a keyring. He loves it. And, with Riley - his daughter - having a birthday tomorrow, I thought to give her her pressie last night too. She opened her present and she was thrilled to have received from me an introduction to drawing and sketching.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@melissapike@digitalrn@bkbinthecity@loey5150@annelis thank you all for your lovely comments. We had a great night out. The weather was hot and the city wasn't all that crowded; but then, there was the Bledisloe Cup (a footy game between Australia and New Zealand) playing at the Gabba. So, that's why it was so quiet in the city. :)
