I'm in inventive person. When I see something I like, but it's too expensive, I try to invent something that looks the same, works the same and is far cheaper. So, this is what I've done with the kitchen utensil hanger. There's ones at Robin's Kitchens, but they're far too expensive. I went to Bunnings and created one for around half the price out of a towel rack ($3.95) and nine hooks ($1.85 ea), then got some lovely long screws and used one set of the original holes from the last hanger to anchor it and went from there.
I'm pleased with my creation. :D
The best thing is that I can add more hooks as I get more utensils... and it's cheap as chips to find the hooks too :D
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@digitalrn Thanks! I've been wanting to replace the old one with something like this for a long time... and the great thing is that the handles that don't fit the hooks can be easily fixed up with other bigger hooks or clips added onto their handles that do fit onto the original hooks; so I'm not hunting for the big hooks on this one. :D
@digitalrn@annelis thank you both for your lovely comments. I do love getting in and working on my house when I have access to the tools to be able to - and this means a motor vehicle.
And now I do, I can get around and do what needs to be done around my garden and house properly. :D I'm so happy! :D
