Replaced!

When is an outdoor setting not an outdoor setting?

When Bunnings tells you that their outdoor settings aren't supposed to be left outside in the weather....

hmmmmm..... doesn't sound right, does it? Well, the original one of this began to stiffen up and the chair didn't unfold after I folded them up (which I found out the hard way, was the wrong way) and they were never the same again... so i took them back and the people at Bunnings told me that it was rusty and asked if it was under cover. We went through the usual questions of why I didn't care for it the way a normal person did (which I did... I left it outside like you do with an outdoor setting... isn't that what you do with an outdoor setting?). But they expected me to put it under cover of a patio or a gazebo... I said no, don't have anything like that.

Long story short: I got it replaced and took the new one straight to Mum and Dad's and Dad sprayed it with rust-proofing paint... now it's silver instead of brown... but I don't mind; it still looks lovely.

Well I would think they would rename the product now so others do not make the same mistake.

@bkbinthecity @digitalrn thank you both for your lovely comments. I was astounded that Bunnings would think this - or the company that made this outdoor setting. And the display setting they had sitting out was rusty too - and yet it was fully under cover... so it goes to show, it doesn't have to be out in the weather to go rusty.
