A terrarium. I inherited one. This is from either my late-Uncle's house or my Grandmother's house. Either way, it's here in my house now, and the coffee table its final place of call. I have to get the cork redone - that's why it's sitting sideways in it - and it'll have to cleaned out with bleach and then it'll be a matter of getting pebbles, charcoal, spagnum moss and potting mix and then? Well, the plants of course... :D
This will take a while to pull together, so watch and wait over the next week or two and I'll upload the progress photos of its blossoming life within a bottle over time too.
Have you guys ever had any terrariums over your life? If so, have you still got them? If not, why not?
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
I do believe at one point in time I bought Josie one, but no, we no longer have it. For the longest time Josie was not interested in plants. First of all they all seemed to die on her, and secondly our cat was a serial plant murderer
@digitalrn Oh, no!!!! Not the cat! o.O But then, with these, at least it keeps the cats out - well, to an extent; until they figure out they can push them off the counter... or take the lid off and pee in them. :P
@wendyfrost Well, Wendy, I'm hopefully going to get some great colour inside it and let it do its own thing... from the websites I've been visiting and a book I bought (which was published in the late 1970's), I will be well-informed about this little hobby garden I've inherited. :D
