Australian Native Bees are stingless and are wonderful to have around you place.
I got a great up-close and personal look at this hive at the Logan Art Gallery yesterday. Sure the bees weren't that happy about a Human being that close to the hive, but so long they just got in my face and couldn't do much else, well, I was happy.

@alia_801@wendyfrost Thank you both for you lovely comments. I suggested to Dad to work himself into getting a stingless bee hive, but he said that native bees 'get up your nose and in your face' ... translation: I don't want to because it's too much bother.
At least they don't sting ya - unlike honey bees; which he worked with for over 30 years.
