Homage to Oma

Yesterday, my family lost Oma - our Dutch Grandmother - aged 99.

She meant so much to us all, and yet her health declined so swiftly. Within hours, she became ill, was rushed to hospital and left us... it was awful to find out on Father's Day.

But I'm glad to say that I have her art books, her art table and a favourite painting I've loved since I was younger - along with a few things I was given by my Aunty.

I'm sad she's gone, but happy she didn't linger.
