Wandering around London and found the storage space for unwanted curling stones. They remove the handles for storage as you can imagine they are quiet heavy anyway. According to the stone store manager, different tournaments require different size handles as well as a male and female version. These three stones were used in the London Olympics and are now considered to old for competitive use. I understand that if you apply to the store they are happy for them to go to a new home, collection only. On the other hand they may be cheeses waiting to be sold-gotcha!!!!!!
Tee hee! Do they do left and right handed versions too? I could see that if they were curling stones they are past their sell by date. Hang on... if they are cheese then they are past their sell by date too!
London Olympics were summer, and curling isn't one of their sports. Secondly, curling stones don't go out of date.... land these say "12". So HAHA! Funny. One thing I'll say.... You are quite creative -- photo and narrative. Great shot!!
