It was only a weekend, but I feel as though I have been away from 365 for much longer. I have missed you all and look forward to catching up with your photos and posts as soon as possible.
Thanks so much for your good wishes for my mountain getaway weekend. It was a wonderful time away from it all. We enjoyed beautiful scenery, good food, and best of all, long, relaxing soaks in the hot springs pool.
I spied this striking barn on the way to our cabin. I like the deep red color and the pretty artwork on the side.
Gorgeous composition and a beautiful barn. The artwork reminds me of Tillamook, Oregon where barns have giant quilt squares on them. I woder if that is what this represents?
Nice! Shame the sky wasn't a little more blue and a little less cloudy to set off that gorgeous barn but we can't expect nature to oblige all the time!

@rvwalker Hi Ross, yes, I wondered if this is a quilt block design. I would love to make it to Tillamook sometime to see more quilted barns. Unexpected beauty is such a joy to encounter!
