In our climate we can grow tropical plants only in glass/hot houses. We have a great history of doing so. Acalypha sanderi is the long tail flower , the other one : Medinilla

Btw if I happen to go again to Mainau Island I will look for that alpaca and ask him/her about the hairdresser. Probably you will be bald by then, haha.

looks a beautiful place. I have been in the botanical gardens in a tropical country where they had a "cool house" so they could grow cold climate ferns etc.

Lovely light and shadows among those tropical leaves. Reminds me of Kew Garden houses in U.K. Can feel that steam heat.
