We visited Mount Vernon, home of George Washington (First President of the US, Founding Father, etc., etc.). Here is pano of the main house, with outdoor hallways leading to kitchen on the right and servants quarters on the left. It sits up on a hill, overlooking the Potomac River. Tourist season, hence the line/queue waiting to get in.
A fascinating experience. If you find yourself in Washington DC, this is a day trip down the Potomac River.

@graemestevens OMG, the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association runs this place, so it is manicured to the T. Maybe the Virginia ladies would travel your way?
