We were touring King John's Castle, Limerick, IE. Of course, as it was built over 800 years ago (overlooking the River Shannon), it has those tiny little defensive slits for shooting arrows through.
Pigeons have made good use of the vacant space, making nests in the castle slits. I was pleased to capture this fellow, giving me "the eye," through the grating, since I had to balance my camera on a knee and use manual focus.
10/1/2020: Finished year 7 (!), with continuing gratitude towards this amazing community. Based in St. Louis, MO. Regular worker-bee and self-taught photography dilettante....
