Tamworth castle causeway by sabresun

Tamworth castle causeway

I like how the wall has been built up and layered over time. The causeway which leads up to the castle has this distinctive herringbone brick pattern. The stones which form the causeway were laid at a 45 degree angle, and look rather like interwoven fish bones.
Wonderful architecture and I love all the patterns in the wall. Great shot.

Great POV - the texture of the wall in the foreground is a great contrast with the buildings behind.
