The main square of Marzameni. Sicily. The old fishermen’s houses, now derelict and falling down have been kept and now serve as a tourist attraction. Other buildings in this old part of the village have been almost all turned into family-run bars/restaurants.
The continuous drizzle kept people away and there were few around. I had to buy an umbrella because I hadn’t prepared myself for this sort of weather. We would have loved to return on another day in the evening for a fish dinner but it was not to happen.
