A few days ago our dog Scout got kicked by our horse Pearl. She nailed him right in the left eye. The injury was very serious. We took him to the vet and our options were to put him down or get some surgery done on his eye. We decided to let them go through with the surgery and remove his left eye. Scout was doing so well after his surgery that we got to bring him home earlier than originally planed.
Scout is doing so good, he will be able to lose that cone soon!
Poor Scout !! Yes horses do do that, our neighbors dog lost a couple of front teeth the same way. The dog always snapped at their nose, so the horse got back at him. Sad for the puppy.

OMGosh, what a sad story, I commend your family for opting for the surgery, it is nice to know that he will continue to live a good life. I love animals and hope he gets well soon.
