While heading to my truck for the early morning drive to the office, I noticed the Spring leaves of my Japanese Maple were stretching towards the rising sun.
That Japanese Maple are really coming into their own right now - after the burst of spring blossoming trees and before many of the flowers start showing well - they're a lovely burst of color. Like your dof.
It's different from your usual landscapes. Despite the vivid red where the light is striking the leaves, it still feels muted, in a very lovely way. The bokeh against the dark background add the perfect touch.
