Another uninspiring day, so I have taken a photo of part of an acrylic painting in our dining room.
Painted by an artist called Duncan MacGregor.
So, with just over 100 days to go, I need to give myself a shake and see off this photography lethargy I am feeling.
I have given myself metaphorical slap!! I have managed a shot a day for 264 days, so no way am I giving up, and I will not descend to this sort of shot again.
Fantastic artist, look at that marvellous reflection..........good photographer too!! Come on , you gee'd me up a few weeks ago....what about your unusual pub signs....or maybe even usual ones!! and village names.......its time really isn't it?
SLAPPPPP!!!!!
I felt the same and just went in the garden snapping away, hoping that something would turn out more or less OK. I still have to browse through the pictures. Actually I liked your shot of yesterday that I did not find uninspiring in any way. Why not turn to product photography when feeling uninspired? It is something you master and although you may find it uninspiring it is not for us, watchers and it keeps you photographing which eventually will take you out of this bad feeling.
You are too honest Sean... If you hadn't told us what this photo was we would all have thought it was an artistic composition you had set up! Try a challenge, they give you a specific theme/idea to go for instead of struggling for inspiration if in a flat phase. I'm sure you'll pull through, you must have determination and perseverance to run a cricket team with all the angst that involves!!
OH looks really cool though. I've not uploaded for a while now. I have been taking, but they've all been really crap. Really uninspired too and generally can't be bothered at all.
Oh I think we all have these little stumbles Sean but soldier on! I think the longer we do this project the more critical we become of our photos & want to produce masterpieces every day when in reality you can't do that . Inevitably we are more happy with our pictures some days than others.
I think the light & reflection here is magnificent & the hull of that boat focuses the eye....I love your picture.
It's fair game Sean - after all you took and uploaded it today. It's quite a painting, isn't it? Tell you what - find out what boat he based it on and go photograph it!
This is really cool. I am feeling a bit like you , but am determined to keep going. When I started my project, I wanted to take a picture each day, some days it is really tempting to put in a filler, but I have come this far, so even if my photos are ordinary, I post one from each day. I am going to finish what I set out to do. I don't know why you are even worrying Sean, your photos are all amazing, and even if they are not interesting or fabulous to you, other people look at them differently
Ah, you special sweet man - wish I had seen this, but you know what I was doing. Your words and kindness during my time with my mother meant the world to me, Sean. . .I cried reading what you wrote, so never, EVER think that everything you do here on 365 doesn't have the very greatest value in the world! blessings
Glad to see you've managed to shake it off, Sean -- you rounded out your week with some fantastic shots! Keep on plugging away. You've come this far! We're all here for you. :)
