Kohima Epitaph.
This morning we attended the Service of Remembrance in Loughborough's Queens Park. Please see my other posts for more details.
During the two minutes silence at 11am, poppies are thrown from top of our town's war memorial, Loughborough Carillon. It was very moving indeed, and I had a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye when I took this shot.
I think that moment when bells toll and the 2 minute silence begins is always profoundly moving.... everyone has someone they have loved and lost and remember in this moment, along with all our war heroes and heroines. Poignant photo Sean.
