We attended the Remembrance Sunday service at Loughborough Carillon. Our eldest son Sam was part of the parade with the Combined Cadet Force at Loughborough Grammar School.
When the 2 minutes silence begins, poppies are thrown from the top of the Carillon. The only sound you can here are the poppies fluttering to the ground.
It is always a very moving and well attended service. I congratulate my children's school on their commitment to the service. It is very important that time does not diminish our memory of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
Lovely...I thought of you and this colourized photo on Remembrance Day this year as I clearly remembered your shot in my mind. It is one of my all time favourites!!
