This morning I drove from Southampton to Brighton for a meeting. I gave myself a spare hour to visit a few places along the Sussex coastline. A useful meeting with a jewellery designer that I am working with on a major project, and then the 200 mile drive home.
I hope that any of you living in the areas affected by the storms in Britain today are safe. Take care.
This is a beach shelter at Worthing. Though the scene looks calm, it was blowing a howling gale from right to left.
This is a shot that has been on my bucket list for a while because it reminds me of some of Kenna's temple shots from Japan!! I am happy at the outcome.
You will probably have to put up with several processings of it in SFX Pro in the weeks ahead, because I rather like it.
We have started a new tradition this year. Rebecca has prepared an Advent Calendar where every day we all have to do something. Feel free to join in. Thanks to all who have done so far, you continue to make us smile.
December 4th: Clean something!
I have just cleaned the toilet and sink in our en-suite bathroom.
@tishpics@amandal@simon0128 thank you, thanky you, thank you, and thank you @sparkle for the fav. I am so pleased that you like this, my heart skipped a beat when I saw it on screen earlier.
My wife said she thought it was Japan, so mission accomplished! The symmetry and simplicity are beautiful, and the soaring clouds add atmosphere. Fav. One tiny flaw - when seen large, the top edge has a line that could be cropped out.
There's a surreal feel to it, looking like it should be in a Japanese gardens somewhere, not there at the beach! Those clouds are killer! The way they appear to be emanating from the roof is so cool. :-)
Great capture! It reminded me of a Japanese tea house before I read your caption. And all those clouds leading towards it make me think of another time Lord's TARDIS that has just landed.
Late on the scene - but this is fantastic! Instant fave! I love these shelters, but have never managed to get a shot like this!
And many thanks for the follow - I'm seriously flattered :-)
@seanoneill Done! I'm on the laptop, which I don't use very often, it's hiccuping beacuse it's doing a scan as well, nor does the spellcheck/auto-correct thing work on here - distracting! But confession is that I am also watching Spurs! [It's been a busy and rather difficult time, didn't get down to the caost anywhere this week.]
I can see why it's fab. I felt the same about my shot this week. I've had other shots with more comments and favs but I just liked this one more for some reason.
And many thanks for the follow - I'm seriously flattered :-)
