A Short Fuse

I've had these fairy lights for 30+ years and for the first time ever the fuse bulb popped and needed replacing. They were so cheap when I bought them in a pop-up Christmas shop and I truly thought they'd be a five minute wonder but fast forward 30 years or so and here we are...! It wasn't as easy as it should have been trying to get the dud bulb out and the new one in, so much so that I had to walk away for a bit, de-stress and make a quick online order for a new set - ones like mine are apparently described as "vintage" now!! I eventually succeeded and they lit up but I may take it as a sign that I should move with the times and keep the modern berry lights that are in transit as I type 😀
