Lots of snow today at the beach. There was even snow on the beach itself which I'm not sure that I have actually ever seen before. Usually the Pacific keeps the temperatures to high to allow snow. We took a trip into the town of Long Beach for lunch and afterward stopped at the local cranberry museum.
Cranberries are an iportant part of the local economy here in this very rural part of the state. The museum itself was closed but there was a self guided tour of the bog you could take. We did not spend a lot of time at the bog but the vines were a pretty purple color with the snow on top but I'm opting to put this shot of a killdeer up. I liked his reflection and if you look carefully you can see a bit of snow in the background.
