There was a lot of organic pest control going on in the garden tonight. I thought the jumping spider eating a katydid was going to be my shot of the day, until I saw a baby mantis snacking on a big fly. It's a jungle out there.
@jbc2013@jgpittenger@shepherdmanswife@ellen - thanks for the comments and favs! @shepherdmanswife - I'm in northern California, but I think there are praying mantises all over the US, and I know they're in other countries as well. Some of them (not here) grow large enough to catch birds!
