Pelicans are such interesting sea birds: they are very graceful and accomplished flyers. Their large wingspans give them the ability to glide seemingly endlessly. At the same time, their prehistoric appearance is fascinating. And their fishing abilities are legendary. I was fortunate to capture this lone pelican coming in for a very graceful landing at sea one early morning.
Interesting silhouette with a dramatic water surface in beautiful warm tones. Very well captured! I love the sparkling of the water line at the horizon.
