1969 Mercury Cougar

The Mercury Cougar was introduced for 1967 as an upscale, European-influenced pony car. It featured a highly styled exterior and interior, with plenty of performance to match its good looks. Its distinctive front had a grille with hidden headlamps and vertical bars (called the electric shaver grille). At the rear (as seen here), a similar treatment used vertically slatted grillework concealing taillights with sequential turn signals, an iconic styling touch taken from the Ford Thunderbird.

Looks better enlarged, if you have the time.
Woah! That's some very cool metalwork :)

I love the shiny patterns of the metalic parts against the red paint of the car!
