The Mercury Cougar was introduced for 1967 as an upscale, European-influenced pony car. It featured a highly styled exterior and interior, with plenty of performance to match its good looks. Its distinctive front had a grille with hidden headlamps and vertical bars (called the electric shaver grille). At the rear (as seen here), a similar treatment used vertically slatted grillework concealing taillights with sequential turn signals, an iconic styling touch taken from the Ford Thunderbird.
Really nice job with the chrome and reds.
