"I'm gettin bugged driving up and down the same old strip...
I gotta find a new place where the kids are hip..."
"I Get Around" was written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love and became the Beach Boys first number one hit. Released as a single in 1964 with "Don't Worry baby" as the B side.
I'd like to think that in this song, Mike Love was imagining driving around with his buddies in this 1957 Chevy Belair, one of the most iconic automobiles to come out of the 1950's and a sweet car for cruising the strip. Re-edited and re-cropped this week. Best viewed large.
That's a beautiful car, beautifully taken, angle etc., and very well presented. I do admire your amazing knowledge of all those 50s & 60s songs, finding one that fits the image, brilliant!
A question? Do you try take your car shots from angles that don't leave you reflected in the car, or do you edit yourself out?
I was trying to take some photos of my car the other day... but couldn't get one that didn't have me and my camera reflected in the car!
@soboy5 Cool, thanks... I'll try my car again, some good weather day, and see if I can get angles that don't get my reflection!!! I did try airbrushing my reflection out of my previous shots... but it looked very fake...
