Broadway and 45th

I took the subway to Times Square and walked from there to Columbus Circle, which is 17 blocks north on Broadway. I do not like Times Square - it is wall to wall people and has way too much visual and auditory overload for my tastes. But it was a convenient subway stop. I shot most of day two in color but still managed to take a few b&ws so stay tuned...and this image is best viewed large on the black background.
Good street scene. Have they made Times Square for pedestrians only now.

@padlock Thank you. Nope, cars, trucks and buses everywhere. Plus a sea of humanity. It was a bit much for me, and I grew up in NYC.

Times Square is a bit overwhelming but it definitely has its unique flavor. Great composition.

Wow, and I thought Times Square was crowded and busy back when I was there in 1985. You did well indeed in pictorializing the busy, tacky feel with this shot! Excellent.

NEW RIDERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE

Cement Clay And Glass Lyrics

Dryden-Nelson

I live by the side of rolling oaks road
Tract 25 just like the man showed it to me
Nothin' to hide it, nothin' beside it
I really can't fight it, the whole place is blighted with
Cement, clay and glass
Trees away, contractor's pay
No delay, 10 units today
Of cement, clay and glass
Trees green, none to be seen
You cut down the hills but you pay higher bills
[- From: http://www.elyrics.net -]
For your cement, clay and glass
Cement, clay and glass
I live by the side of rolling oaks road
Tract 25 just like the man showed it to me
There's nothin' to hide it, nothin' beside it
I really can't fight it, the whole place is blighted with
Cement, clay and glass
Cement, clay and glass
