Fuzzy dice became a very popular decoration to hang from the inside mirror of a car in the 1950's. The practice started with World War II pilots who used dice in the cockpits of their planes for good luck. They look period correct on this 1955 Ford Thunderbird.
I like this colorful and iconic shot for the 50s......... I made several pair of these dice (knit), and my now husband, brother, and cousin who received three of them, hung them in their cars for years. My then boyfriend, now husband, still has a couple pair I made for him.
