Shrimp and oysters are the two main sources of commerce in Apalachicola. Shrimp boats come in all sizes, from small to large. Tomorrow we will see one of these boats as it heads out for a day of shrimping.
What fun -- are you also picking up fresh shrimp when it returns? We have friends on Jekyll Island and Amelia Island and both of them have access to wonderful fresh shrimp that we'd never have in the midwest.
