Trip to the city today. Alas not for photo's. What chances I did get were limited and uninspired. Onwards and upwards.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Ugh I know what you mean. I tried gettig out with my camera last night and saw absolutley nothing that caught my eye to photograph. I went home disappointed. I'm going to make up for it tonight if the rain ever stops. At least you got something and it turned out rather well. Guess that should be a lesson to me - not every time you go out will the conditions be perfect - there's beauty in everything around you if you look hard enough (through a camera lens of course). Kudos.

I really like the view through the window and the splashes (paint?)

But I still think this is pretty neat. So many independent elements cooperating for the whole. The paint splatters are the final touch, and my mind is still looking for pareidolia in the square on the right. Not sure about the LB effect, though. I think this might have benefited from a flatter, 2D look...?

i dont feel this to be uninspired at all. this is quite fascinating to me, and visually captivating. the wall pattern is great for your lensbaby shots, and i really like how theres only the small square opening up the heart of the scene. the focus on the work helmet/masks feels more poignant and intensely topical than following that character in motion, or leaving the whole inside out of focus. i am intrigued, rather than bored, with the straight-on framing, and the painted words help drive it all home.

@not_left_handed Thank you Dawn. I hope you had more success later in the day. I know how frustrating it is to find little that inspires. I have had a weekend of it.
@rachelwithey Thanks Rachel. Unfortunately this guy did not really stop and do anything interesting to make the most of the composition. Oh well.
@susale Thank you Suse

@louuncouth Thank you Lou. At the moment the only lens I am using is the lensbaby. This has its restrictions and was totally unsuitable for this shot. As much as I am enjoying the lens I am looking forward to taking a break from it in a couple of days. I can see a squashed baby face (like on a photocopier) on the square.
@agentzuckerguss Thank you
@ubiquitybutsomewhatdownsized Thank you. I think this would have been better with a proper lens rather than the lensbaby. I am glad you like this. Thank you for your feedback.

I like it. The view through this small window is interesting, especially in this composition
