San Matteo Church

The former church of San Matteo is located in a side street of Corso Porta Borsari just a few dozen meters from the ancient Roman gate. Its construction dates back to medieval times and it is mentioned in a document of the 1105. It was deconsecrated during the Napoleonic domination, for two centuries it was used as a warehouse, workshop and even laundry during the First World War. It was restored in the last decades of the twentieth century following the original structure and enhancing the characteristic elements. Now it hosts the San Matteo Church, a popular restaurant and pizzeria.

Some days ago I bought a cabled remote that helps me with night shots. I already tried others methods such as wireless remote or self-timer but what I have now is the most reliable. This is also the reason why I'm posting so much night shots. I'm enjoying it.
It is a pretty night shot. I like the contrast of neon lights in medieval area...
