Young Blue Heron or Tricolor Heron ?

Haven't seen these birds for weeks, then two in the same week. Go figure !

Really great shot, Bill.........is it a Great Blue or a Tricolor?.....hard to tell at the angle of the photo.

@mjmaven The only tricolor I'm aware of is a Green heron. I googled this bird for an hour, but couldn't come up with a match. Is there a different tricolor species ?

@mjmaven Looked up tricolor heron, and indeed there is such a bird. (Should have known you would know). Not sure, but the white plume on the back of the head seems to say it is. A young bird I think.
