Wing warming by stevejacob

Wing warming

Another short visit to Priory Park this morning. Again low light played it's part and although I had some good sightings, the wildlife didn't want to play ball. Among the sightings was the Kingfishes, which is why I was there, and an Otter which stayed just in the reeds enough to stop me getting a good view. This Cormorant decided to warm it's wings in the shade of a big tree for some reason. It was still a good morning though and the weather held off.
Thanks for your lovely comments and favs. I appreciate them.
He's a handsome chap .......maybe there was a breeze that helped his wings to dry out.

@hazydaze it must have been the breeze as it definately wasn't the sun. At least it wasn't so cold today.

@rosiekind I know they do that to dry or warm their wings, but in the shade?
