Connecting with nature

Very early morning with the dew and the mist still in evidence.
The early rise was rewarded with a greeting form the hare
What a lovely photo Steve

Love the composition! Our bunnies in the Sonoran Desert are so skinny compared to this specimen!

@corinnec thanks for comment.
This is actually a European Brown Hare. They are a different species to rabbits and are much bigger.

@corinnec you would if you saw them side by side. The hare is about three times the size of a rabbit, has very large black tiped ears and a longer snout. Large powerful back legs and a black tip to its tail.
They also differ in life style generally living on their own or in small groups, they are not burrowers so live above ground. I was lucky that this one came very close as they are usually very timid and will take off at first sight. They are spectacular on the run as they can reach speeds up to 40kmph.
