Today, it was the long tailed tits that came in numbers.
I've discovered glass and low light are not a good combination. Just to make life more difficult, the sun shines straight into my widow too

This shot turned out nicely. Sounds like you will have your work cut out for you in the next little while. My longest lens is a 100-400mm and it needs a lot of light to perform well too. I notice you took this at 600mm so I can imagine that lens must be a light hog as well. Unless of course you have one of those $20,000 dollar lenses that I can only dream of.

@gardencat I can only dream of that too. This is with the Sigma 150-600 which I love but it does need good light for good results. Trouble with my garden is it faces the sun so when it does shine, I have to compensate with the exposure.
It's good to have a challenge though.
