My son requested a dinosaur theme this week so that's what we did! Art projects included the dinosaur "D", a hatching dinosaur, and a paper plate dinosaur. We had a discussion about fossils and made our own out of his toy dinosaurs and homemade dough (which my daughter and dog thought made pretty neat "cookies" after they were cooked and hardened!). He played paleontologist and dug for dinosaur "bones" and put the dinosaurs together in a puzzle. We also did the baking soda and vinegar volcano science experiment and his dinosaurs had to escape the flowing lava. We also did a dinosaur memory game, read several books and sang songs about dinosaurs, and played in a dinosaur sensory bin. Last but not least, we visited a museum for them to look at real dinosaur bones and fossils. Another fabulous week of having fun and learning.
