"A" is for Alien

Space week! We struggled staying on task with the nice weather, but made it through the week with some great activities. Crafts included the alien "A", constellations with star stickers, and painted star stamps using sponges, glitter and paint. We made the solar system coloring the planets and putting them in order from the sun (yes, we included Pluto, but had a discussion that it isn't really a planet but it is still part of our solar system :)). We also did some math with sun rays and made a space book working on letters and reading. The favorite had to be making the phases of the moon, though. We used vanilla wafers and chocolate frosting...of course the best part was eating the moons! We also did a sun puzzle and did some math work with the pieces but I didn't get a picture of that.

I feel like Preschool may be fizzling out for the year. We have a lot of travel coming up and I'm sure when we return from all that, summer will be in full swing. I'm a little sad about it because I really didn't realize it until I looked at the calendar today :( I had so many more plans. Maybe I can fit some things in here and there in the next couple weeks and over the summer, but this may be the last of our Preschool collages.
Cool collage-great way to capture the week!
