With so many big sporting events going on right now and with my son's sports camp coming up at the end of the month, I thought this was a good theme for our preschool activities this week. Crafts included the "S" soccer ball, paper plate tennis ball, painting footballs with pencil erasers, bubble wrap painted basketballs, and lacing a baseball. Learning activities included football letter matching (and phonics), football laces counting and math, counting by 10's on a football field, sequencing with sport balls, and a science experiment lifting an ice cube using a piece of thread. We also got out and played a few sports and I worked on teaching the basics on how to play and the object of the game. Fun week!
