It was all about music in our family this week. The kids and I went to a fun kid's band performance at the local beach with some friends and I got to go see my favorite musician in concert. What better week to learn about music?! We made homemade maracas, tambourines, and kazoos and had a band jamming session. We also played fun musical/dancing games. I did a basic overview lesson on how to read music and then had him cut up the sheet music for our "M" collage. We watched videos on the sounds different instruments make, did a math activity with guitar strings and played an instrument memory game.
