Yesterday afternoon we had to go to my cousin's to collect a cow of ours. All his cattle gathered around our truck...but not this big mama. She stood guard over her new calf (just visible through the grass in front of her) daring man or beast to come within reach.
She looks very matronly standing watch over her calf, who looks adorable half hidden in the grass. I would definitely be careful to keep my distance, great shot.
She looks like a force to be dealt with. Is that a Brahma? The calf looks a different color. Nice capture. You ask me the program where I get the frames. It is Picasa. I got it free from the internet. There are more elaborate features you can pay for I just use the basic.
