Birdwatching

A great egret on the upper reaches of Awoonga Dam. I'm a little preoccupied with birds at the moment. Birds Queensland is holding their Annual Convention in Ubobo and staying at our Discovery Centre where I work as a volunteer. Also we have offered our farm as a site for the birders to explore. Today I've taken the group leaders for a tour of spots that lend themselves to good viewing walks. The birders would really love to see the rare yellow chats that live on the salt flats of Curtis Island but unfortunately that site is too difficult to reach with a group as big as that expected to arrive this weekend.
awesome, wish i was there! enjoy!!!!
