Dark Blue by ubobohobo

Dark Blue

“Without your gumboots, where would you be?” This line from the Gumboot Song, says it all. Mine, dark blue in colour, sit ever-ready at the back door.
Gumboots is a “new” term for me. They were always rubber boots but somewhere along the way it has become more fashionable to call them gumboots.
A huge fibreglass gumboot with a green tree frog climbing up its side welcomes visitors to Tully, the wettest place in Australia. Standing 7.9m high, it represents the record set in 1950 of 7900mm or 311inches for the year. Check it out at:

Love it! Great processing. That's a new term for me, too. Since we moved to a rural area, my gumboots also sit next to the back door.

Gumboots are such a necessity in our winter time. I never thought I would be a fan till we moved to an acerage.

Gosh I love your processing - who would have thought 'wellies' could look so trendy! Looks as if you'd wear them at a nuclear installation!! Great dark blue for today too :)

We use to call them wellington boots - or were they the ones that went to the knee? Great dark blue colour!

Hmm, you apparently don't originate from NSW! Always were and always will be gumboots to us. One of those regional differences. Love the blue gummies.
