What's this all about?

I saw this healthy looking plant growing out of the top of a cornflower. Does this happen often?

lol I read it as cauliflower now that's funny. To me it looks like the seeds in the flower head have sprouted but i have been know to be wrong a lot of the time. Greats shot so bright.

Has it been wet? We often have seeds sprout on the farm if it gets too wet before we can head the crop.
