I had some pleasant news this morning. I have a new cousin! My aunt gave birth at about 5am to a beautiful baby boy, and much of the family were invited to meet the little tyke and to celebrate. We've all suggested names for the as yet nameless little boy.
Unfortunately the light wasn't great in the living room, and I didn't want to use my flash too often and wake him up. This meant many of my photos were either out of focus or blurred - and my camera defaulted to a high ISO - despite using my 50mm lens at its highest aperture. A few turned out okay though (such as this one), and in post-processing I decreased the saturation to mute the colours.
Today is a landmark day on two fronts. I'm a third of the way through this project! What better subject is there to shoot on such a day than a new addition to the family? I've said it before (on day 91) and I'll say it again; holding the little baby did make me very broody...
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
