After work today I went to the University of Nottingham. I went to the Jubilee Campus, its newest site that was built a few years ago. It's a shining example of modern architecture and design, and situated at the site is 'Aspire', the UK's tallest free-standing sculpture.
I see this sculpture from a distance on my way home from work every day, and have often thought that I need to shoot it at some point. The whole campus really is quite visually interesting, so I will venture there a few times over the next few weeks. I shot this at a multitude of angles and really struggled to decide which one to post, so if you're interested the others are on my Flickr profile ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/vikdaddy/).
I actually graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2003. Back then the Jubilee Campus didn't exist. I studied for an MA in Politics and Contemporary History, a subject that was fascinating but ultimately of little value to my career. I haven't told my parents that though, as they paid for the course!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Really great shot! I am interested to see what other ones you take from there.
