The snow came back this afternoon. Luckily I had gone for a walk in the local country park with my camera before the snow began. It was raining, but I felt fairly confident using my Canon 7D in such conditions because of its weatherproof body. That was one of the reasons why I bought it; the UK is no stranger to adverse weather, so it's nice knowing I can use my camera without worrying too much about it
Surprisingly the pond in the park was already frozen over, so I took a few photos of the ducks on the ice.
In post-processing I added a vignette and gave it these golden tones. The title of today's photo seemed particularly apt, and is after the film of the same name.
I've yet to use the 7D's wireless transmitter. It can control an external flash like my 430EX II, so I might have to give that a try for one of my photos over the next few days. I'm by no means an expert at strobist lighting, so it'll be fun learning another new skill.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
