Black Swan by 30pics4jackiesdiamond

Black Swan

Five exotic swans have flown into Emsworth and they are ruffling the feathers of the common locals.

Went specifically to see them but they did insist on staying in the shadow, or on the mud, so they were difficult to photograph.

It wasn't a good photographic opportunity for Him. He took the red camera and was most miffed it wasn't set on auto-focus, that the EV was up to +4 and white balance had been changed. Anyone would think that camera was His!!!

Wow. Beautiful. .

To just see them is a wonderful gift. I think that you caught his well.

This is so beautiful Jackie. Love the colours in the swan and the reflection and the way he is gliding into the photo. Fav

@brennieb thank you Brennie, very graceful birds
@joysabin There are 5 of them!!
@carole_sandford thanks carole
@megpicatilly as usual a fluke!
@365anne Thanks for feedback on the frame, wasn't sure, but as I've gone to the dark side with processing..............
@jmdspeedy thanks John, not cropping- just changed to monochrome and added the frame. BTW, if you'd been drinking last night you'd have seen that the raspberry was in fact out of focus!!

Nice photo... love the red against the blacks and grays. You have quite a few here with a touch of red, are you doing the challenge? fav and follow... I look forward to watching your work.

@stefneyhart Hello! Yes doing flashofred, but couldn't resist putting his/her red beak back ( I've taught myself how this week and done it twice now!), so I have broken the rules of the challenge this week!!!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Some rules are meant to be broken for creativity's sake. lol

I'm not usually a fan of selective color, but it works well here.

Lovely picture. I am curious about the bit of blue around the beak which is more evident in the reflection?
