I have a small, unremarkable, collection of fossils that I have found on the Jurassic Coast. I found the ammonite in that pebble after I bashed it with another rock whilst walking on the 'Broadchurch' cliff path at West Bay on His birthday. The urchin (or shepherd's crown as they call them here) I found whilst walking along Lulworth Cove during my birthday weekend. The black one (probably part of a plant?) I found on Kimmeridge beach. They are all sitting on what I thought was a plant fossil but was reliably informed by @mona65 last year it's a pseudo-fossil of crystals.
This is a revisit of a photo I took last April to see how my composition and camera skills have evolved. The original photo is here and if you have time you can have a quick peek.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi Jackie thank you so much for mentioning me, so I can adore your great collection. What fun it would be to go on "treasure" hunt with you. You have a great eye. I think the black one could be a part of an ammonite. Similar to these ones... http://365project.org/mona65/2015-plan-b-alb/2010-05-07
Get Pushed. I've enjoyed an excursion with your comprehensive range of shots and now have a challenge for you. I'd like to take a shot of something/s which are not inherently attractive. Whether you wish to make them attractive or otherwise through your treatment...is in your gift. Enjoy!
Apologies for previous garbled comment. Am running on empty in prep for family arriving on Wednesday. Reasonable weather demands long overdue attention to garden. Has anyone yet instigated an award for 5* Juggling, sub section: Domestic & Garden?
@s4sayer ooh, that's a hard one, see what I can do @quietpurplehaze thank you @brennieb millions of years I think @salza thank you for login at both @mittens I like them and constantly look when on that coast @mona65 although I follow you I can't see that photo. I might have 2 ammonites
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Yes I think so. Sorry about the pic, it was on "restricted". Now it is open. But it is nothing special, just me and some ammonites,...
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Oh you can be chuffed and happy with your treasures. Every single piece you find is special. Just think of the millions of years they have been hiding somewhere and now you hold in in your hand and decorate your home with it. I'm happy for you and enjoy your findings.
@megpicatilly if I had a hammer I'd be dangerous - hates I pick up ever stone and hit with other stones as it is!!!! @annied thanks Annie! @billygreen Thanks Billy x
