Highclere Castle

I've only watched one episode of Downton Abbey. Lady Somebody-or-Other had given birth and as her husband got into his car I said to my daughter; 'He's going to die, bet he crashes into a tree'. And lo what came to pass on that Christmas Day special?? Never bothered with other episodes incase they were all as obvious in their plot-line.

The Castle in which the series is filmed however is quite lovely and it looks a bit like the Houses of Parliament because the same Victorian designed them.

Nice shot of Highclere.

Nice shot! I used to enjoy it, but more for the wittiness of the Dowager Duchess!

She was the character played by Maggie Smith - terribly posh & haughty, but she had some fabulously funny put down lines!

How funny about your prediction! And yet it's enormously popular worldwide - apparently a massive hit in China too :-D

I have recently finished Downton Abbey and I am a huge fan. I rarely finish a series. I felt super sad when Mary's husband died and didn't predict it at all. So naive I'd say. Anyways nice to see it for real in your shot.
