We thought the swans had set their nest on the roadside- hence the cone put there to protect them. There is a pile of twigs and half a swan's load of feathers underneath the swan sitting down. On our return from the chandlery (Oh how I wanted (neeeeeed) that shocking pink storm weather gear!!!) no swans to be seen and if it is a nest- it's pathetic.

When we were still living in the UK, we visited this Swannery and I'd rank it in my Top 10 Days Out in the UK. Go if you can.
